Can anyone help me please. I only drive automatic cars?

in the past I have had a mini, a panda, a metro, a celica and the best one of the lot (hardly nice to look at) nissan sunny, this being the most reliable one. Can anyone tell me in their opinion, what the best/most reliable auto car would be to buy, anything from a 2000 upwards would be good. I was looking at a Focus but have had mixed reactions about them...any ideas?

its is a personal choice as to what you like. Always check service history on any car. Personally i don't think you can beat German or Japanese cars for reliability. I drive a Mercedes C180 Auto and find it very smooth and comfortable but maintenance cost can be if things go wrong with them. The ford focus is a very well built car and the auto box is supposed tobe good, but read some independant reports like Parkers guide or what car.

The Toyota Camry , Honda Accord, and Nissan Sentra are all nice and very reliable cars. If you are to buy American then shop carefully as there is a lot of junk out there.

Good Luck,

PS- I have a 93 Camry with 185,000 miles and have had only basic maintenance to deal with, in my experience any American car would have turned into a noisy rattling money pit long before this type of mileage although I don't believe the same for trucks.
Honda Civic!
Try not to buy american cars unless youre looking to save a few bucks. DONT buy focus for sure thats the worst car on the lot - Yea Japanese cars will cost you a few more bucks but they are reliable. I have a enough friends that have had problems. My friend bought a 2002 Grand Prix and after 2 years the transmission started giving him problems. His drives decently. My friend bought a cavalier and at 120 km and all it does is give him small problems. If you still want to buy american for the save look around but focus will most likely be a bad idea - anyone who knows about cars will tell you that - why do you think they go so cheap.
to be honest todays cars are all good the most important thing you need to look for is not the make or model but the upkeep and mileage it has like what has been done to it was the oil changed regular etc. and people will tell the the kind they like but thats because thats what they got or want
Search yahoo autos and you will find the largest data base of used cars, you can search with price and model and everything. it is the same database as autotrader.com but easier to search
