"Why do I get a window opening that says "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and

Every time I start up my system, and just simply begin to check my e-mail, a small window pops up within 5 minutes (if that long) saying "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something... blah blah blah". It closes and goes straight back to my desktop, but then will happen again and again. The other day this happened 6 times in less than 30 minutes. I am gettting seriously irritated and don't know what to do to fix this problem. Please help. Don't know what kind of info would be helpful.....Compaq Presario, purchased 12/2006 ~ up and running 1/2007, IE 7, Windows XP, Panda Anti-virus %26 firewall....anything else just ask! THX!

Your internet explorer might be corrupted and it's a pain to try and fix. At this point I would suggest going to firefox.

You can use that instead of Internet Explorer and it will save you the headache of trying to fix Explorer
