How could you learn 12th grade biology if "Of Pandas And People" was your textbook?

The Dover court decision concluded : intelligent design may be a valid belief for some, but it is not science (my paraphrase)

I cant imagine the Nobel panel lined up to pass out the science prizes

go to the library. get some real books on evolution. start with darwins writings and then go on from there. if your local public library doesnt have legitimate science books on evolution then go to the nearest public university. they would almost certainly have some.

I skipped that part, and read "Of Onions and Osages."

(As for "intelligent design" what was the purpose of giving men nipples? Just curious.)
A good teacher can use a bad textbook and still get kids to learn.
To the best of my knowledge, that book is NOT a scientific biology book and should be turned in as quickly as possible. It is an outrageous book. It is filled with ID concepts that have no place in the world of knowledge. It belongs in a church or better yet be used to start a fireplace fire.
I thought biology is more than just evolution - for one.

However, I agree, Intelligent Design is not a great hypothesis. That's why a couple science teachers sued their school in Pennsylvania - and won.

If you read the critique for Pandas and People and the critique against it, it's easy to see the book is not based upon robust scientific research.

These two authors attended a debate about ID and the book, fyi.
