i need a cage for my syrian(panda) hamster... i need like a wide one not a tall one and try making it under $50. thanks

I would never pay that much for those cages already listed. Check out a local (not chain) pet store. They usually have much better deals on cages than chain stores. I'd also consider a large glass tank with a heavy metal top. You'd end up spending probably $25 tops.

I'd also check out Craigslist.com and post a wanted ad in your area for a hamster cage. I'm sure you'll get plenty of offers from people who have a cage lying around that they no longer need and you can negotiate a price this way.

these sites have a variety of cages all sizes and prices. another alternative is to go to thrift shops and look for either cages or used aquariums.

I like to connect 2 hagen habitrail space stations (or safari) cages together, it makes a good size and it's a good combination of deep base and bars for good circulation.
