What kind of insects do red pandas eat?

They eat a variety of foods, not just insects. They mostly eat bamboo, but also fruits, mushrooms, birds, eggs, etc. The sorts of insects that they could find in their habitat, ie high elevation himalayan bamboo / rhododendron forests, would be a few moths and butterflies in the summer, as well as beetles.

I did an expedition into the Makalu-Barun park in eastern Nepal and found a Red Panda that had been eaten by a Leopard. Never saw the live ones we were tracking. Surprisingly hard to see them as the trees have a lot of reddish moss.

Probably the ones that are most abundant that they don't have to expend allot of energy to catch, but odds are they'll eat any they can catch.

Allot of animals snout pigs and skunks to name a few,

dig though the ground with their noses looking for bugs worms grubs roots that sort of thing.

could be possible there are allot more bugs underground than most people realise.

Might want to call a zoo that has some redpandas
