Patches is cuter.
I had a puppy named patches a few years ago and that is a really cute name :) If it looks like a bear with really long cuddly fur though bear would be better. I like the name patches

Depends on if your dog is a big dog or small? Because you say he looks like a panda bear, and if hes big, Bear fits perfectly!(You know, big like a bear) But if he is a small dog then I think that Patches would be the best way to go!

patches sounds too much like a cat's name. i would agree with u with bear.
Patches - because when you sound it out it is more distinct and easier for the dog to hear. The best dog names have two syllables and distinct consonants.
