Kids book cover help?

I have written a kids book as a project for school and I need to draw a front cover. The story is about a panda bear who is afraid of the rain and a hippo shows him things that look scary, but are really not. In the end there is a rainbow and he isn't afraid of the rain. I wanted to just draw a panda with an umbrella but it seems a little bit boring. Any advice?

Sometimes simplicity is the best way to go. I think a Panda with an umbrella with a scared/worried look on his face would be perfect.

Great story! That is very clever.

A panda with a umbrelle and on top of the umbrella the hippo

its kindda like the panda has a weight on its shoulder for being afraid of rain. And then a rainbow above.

Kids love silly pictures with lots of decorations ones with nothing would seem boring to them.
I guess I would draw a hippo N the panda looking at a rainbow that is sparkly, you could also have a panda with a scared face looking out a window at the rain. EitherWay
I like the simplistic idea. The panda with an umbrella sounds good. I wouldn't put the rainbow on the cover... It would give away the ending! Stick to what were thinking.
panda and a hippo with an umbrella, it's raining and a rainbow in the background
add panda and hippo hanging out and a rainbow on the background looking happy
do a panda and a hippo and trees etc

make it colourful
have the panda bear crying in the rain
