It's extremely annoying, and I like IE. I have the most updated version and I have the most recent Panda software for viruses and spy ware. I've done many scans of my computer and there are no viruses, spy ware, or anything. What's wrong with IE? When I use Firefox it works fine. This laptop that I'm on is fairly new. When I first got it, I visited few sites without a spy ware or virus protector. I got a minor virus on the older version of internet explorer that made pop ups appear. I got rid of it with Panda when I got it, and then upgraded to the newest version of IE. Now the links freeze. -points title- Does this have to do with viruses, spy ware, the new version of IE, or is IE just plain old horrible and I should keep using Firefox? Do you know how to fix it? Please tell.
Internet Explorer freezes whenever I click on a link that opens another page.?photoshop
Try right clicking as a habit instead. You will see two options - open and open in new window. you may find that one of these will always work. This, I admit, is a complete guess.
Depending on which IE you have, look at the top in the ribbon area for a message indicating, for example, popups are blocked. Right click on this ribbon, and chose 'allow popups for this site'.
Bottom line, right clicking on this ribbon will give you options to solve the problem.
