Which fish for community tank? bushynose pleco or SAEs?

I am going to step up a 55 gallon community tank. Which one:

1 bushynose pleco or 3 siamese algae eaters? Their diet will be supplemented:)

the other fish will be 6 cardinal tetras, 6 glowlight tetras, 6 corydoras panda, 6 dwarf neon rainbowfish (praecox), and 6 beckfords pencilfish in well planted tank.

Thanks for your opinions!

You will be much happier in the long run with the bushynose pleco. They don't get as big as the siamese algae eaters and they don't get aggressive like the SAE's either. I have seen SAE's as big as 7", and I hear they get even bigger. Your tank sounds sweet, but I'd get at least a dozen cardinals. You will really enjoy the panda corys, and I bet they end up being your favorite in the tank. 6 will make a nice little school.

The bristle-nose---more fun to watch, the SAE's better algae eaters. The best way to control algae in a planted tank is with frequent water changes to keep the nutrient levels low,and limit the photo-period to 12 hours or less.

Sounds like a fun tank.

More Cardinals would not hurt.
Both
The bushy nose pleco (Ancistrus) would be my choice for a community tank they just tend to get on with the job, I wouldn't put to many types in though. Siamese algae eaters can get a bit aggressive so I would steer clear of groups of these.
Ditto to many others, the Bristle nose all the way
