I have an unknown background application running that I can't identify...?

Every 10 minutes or so, a new application window appears on my task bar at the bottom of the screen, stays there for 2 seconds and vanishes. I ran a full antivirus scan (Panda) + a spyware removal (Spybot) and nothing seems wrong. Since it started only a few days ago, I restored my system to four weeks ago, but the problem is still there... !

get hijackthis program to scan your computer and keep a log file, then enter the log file into a free analyzer you can find somewhere on the internet, it will tell you what to delete and what not too. the perfect program for getting rid of those nasty ones. i used it to delete a virus unknown to panda, which i have too.

do a control +alt +delete and then go to processes, then type unknown ones into google. it should pop out a very nice result that has most of the info on the file, and if its harmful or whatever.
it might be a trojan program that your anti virus software isnt catching i know spybot is a good program so i doubt that it wouldnt catch it what does the icon look like
Since your pc have nothing wrong(e.g shutting down automatically), just ignore it.

Or if you want to know about all the hidden program and background task, press Alt+Ctrl+Del to open the Task Manager and select Processes tab.

Click the End Process if you found that program.
"Kyle M" has the right idea..!!!

You should get used to what you have running as processes so you can spot the virus or malware programs.
